About.

Eddie Gordon has been performing both as a solo acoustic artist and as a full band for well  over 20 years. In this time he has traveled the country  performing his own  brand of  music witch includes country, rock, blues, gospel and more. His approach to music has always been very strait forward and  influenced by a wide variety of styles that he grew up listing to.

Eddie is known for his diversity, at any time you here him live rather it be Gospel music in a church or secular music in a club restaurant or festival you will always hear a wide verity of musical styling. Sou Another defining aspect of his music is his blend of a full band mixed with his love for the simplicity of setting on a stage with an acoustic guitar and a harmonica. When ask what was is favorite type of gig his reply was surprising to hear. “ I know it is necessary to play bigger venues but I would much rather be under a tent providing the music for a good old time revival or in a coffee house ”

Here is a couple examples of Eddie's Acoustic performances. Both of these songs was recorded by cellphone in Pontotoc, MS at The Basement on main.

After 25 years of ministry work and gospel music, Eddie has decided to slow things down. He now plays mostly acoustically in small venues such as restaurants, coffee houses and so forth. He began to develop his style of playing as a teenager in churches and sitting in with different groups, he also took every chance he could to play recording sessions picking up tips and tricks from

producers and engineers.

His 20's

It was in his 20's that he began to really come into his own as an artist when he and his sister formed a family group and traveled the southern states performing at churches, fundraisers, festivals and benefits.

His 30's

He would then go on in his 30's to sign contracts with both Double E Promotions and Millennium Music Group were he released many original songs to world wide radio, which would land him seven top 40 songs and 2 top ten songs in national and international charts such as Cashbox, Christian Voice and Power Source. In an interview with an Alabama based newspaper Eddie was asked just what all that meant. He just laughed and said not a dag-gum thing. He then went on to say that a lot of people tend to get too caught up in the industry and take themselves to seriously.

Present Day

In his time with Double E and Millennium, Eddie was blessed with many opportunities to share the stage and company with country and gospel legends such as ( Allen Frizzell, Gerald Crabb, Marty Raybon and so many more.) Thanks to all of these experiences, he was able to pick up even more techniques and musical knowledge. Now he has taken everything he has developed on his on and everything he has learned from his time on the road and put it together to create a broader fuller sound and style to hold the attention of his audience. Although he is semi retired from ministry work Eddie is still a Christian so you can be sure that his music is family friendly. Along with his original songs slightly blended in his sets, Eddie cover a wide range of music. Everything from Blues, Country, Rock,Gospel, and even a little classical.
